Why I want to meet DwayneHoover
I too want to take a vow of silence.
He seems like one of the smartest people in the history of people. He’d be very interesting to talk to (i hope he knows a little english!) and I feel like i would learn so much from him.
I wouldn’t want to be Oscar Wilde or be like him, but he’d be fun to have around at boring parties.
He’s my favorite artist—I love his compositions! His use of negative space makes you feel like you could just walk into his paintings! His skill was undeniable, so he could probably teach me a lot. He was so overdramatic and proud that he might get a little annoying, but i know some people like that, and when you keep in mind that its just an act, they aren’t so unbearable.
I’m interested in animation, so I could probably learn a lot from Disney. Disney has sort of become a symbol of big corporate American evil—I liked to find out how the man behind the mouse really was. Plus, Disney movies bring back such good memories!
I’m not really a christian or anything, but I’d like to meet him just so I could tell some people how much they’ve misinterpreted his teachings, because some christians can get a little creepy. I’m not saying I hate them or that they’re bad people, but i think people can skew something’s meaning after its been around for a millenium or two. Also, he has had such an enormous impact on Western culture—I think that he’d be very interesting to talk to (assuming that he understands English, or that i learn aramaic).
I think it would be interesting to meet a person exactly like me. Maybe I wouldn’t like this person very much, which is kind of a scary thought. You know how when you first meet someone, you sort of try to make a good impression? It’d be weird because, in a sense, i’d being trying to impress myself…Sorry if this is a little confusing…Anyway, I think I could learn a lot about myself, if I met this hypothetical person.
Once on VH1 classic or something I saw a story on ‘most shocking moments in rock’ or whatever. It was about a groupie who published a book about all her escapades with Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jim Morrison, etc. I never really got the whole groupie thing, but Jim Morrison has this aura… Not just because he was ridiculously good-looking. I don’t normally like to idolize celebrities or anything, but Jim Morrison would certainly be an interesting person to meet.
